In a miraculous turn of events\, one of Whitefield’s closest friends and greatest promoters becomes none other than Benjamin Franklin. \nWith the nation’s freedom hanging in the balance\, the founders discover true liberty cannot only be written into law — it must be awakened in the hearts of the people. \nThrough epic historical settings\, powerful performances\, and a story rooted in both faith and friendship\, “A Great Awakening” invites audiences to rediscover a pivotal chapter in American history. DESCRIPTION:The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to present “The Last Viking” showing May 29-June 4 at the Alice Gill-Sheldon Theatre. \nThe Danish comedy/drama “The Last Viking” — written and directed by award-winning filmmaker Anders Thomas Jensen — stars Mads Mikkelsen and Nikolaj Lie Kaas. \nAnker (Nikolaj Lie Kaas) is released from prison following a fifteen-year sentence for robbery. The money from the heist was buried by Anker’s brother\, Manfred (Mads Mikkelsen). Only he knows where it is. Unfortunately\, Manfred has since developed a mental illness causing him to forget all. Together\, the brothers embark on an unexpected journey to locate the money and discover who they really are. \n“The Last Viking” will be shown at the Alice Gill-Sheldon Theatre May 29-June 4. The hat\, tattoos and her hit single “What’s Up?” with 4 Non Blondes made her an icon. \nIn the decades since that song topped the charts\, Linda has reinvented herself as a songwriter and producer\, penning hits for artists like Dolly Parton\, Christina Aguilera and Pink. DESCRIPTION:It’s “Big Screen at Basecamp” as the Sedona International Film Festival partners with Sedona Beer Company for its “Movies on the Move” cinema under the stars outdoor film experience at Basecamp in West Sedona — every Thursday in the summer season! \nJoin us on Thursday\, June 4 as we present “Jurassic Park” at Basecamp/Sedona Beer Company at dusk. \n“Jurassic Park” won three Academy Awards: Best Sound\, Best Visual Effects and Best Sound Effects Editing. \nIn Steven Spielberg’s massive blockbuster\, paleontologists Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) and mathematician Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) are among a select group chosen to tour an island theme park populated by dinosaurs created from prehistoric DNA. While the park’s mastermind\, billionaire John Hammond (Richard Attenborough)\, assures everyone that the facility is safe\, they find out otherwise when various ferocious predators break free and go on the hunt. \nBasecamp will offer a selection of craft beers\, food and beverages (and a special menu item themed to each film)\, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Sedona International Film Festival. \n \n“Jurassic Park” will be shown outdoors at Basecamp Sedona Beer Company (70 Dry Creek Road) on Thursday\, June 4 at dusk. Seating will begin at 7 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs.
