DESCRIPTION:The Sedona International Film Festival is partnering with The Wilde Resort in West Sedona to present its “Movies on the Move” outdoor film experience — “Wilde Wednesdays” Cinema Under the Stars — every Wednesday in the summer season! \nThis is the summer of romantic comedies at The Wilde! Join us on Wednesday\, July 1 as we present “Notting Hill” in The Grove Fire Pit Garden at The Wilde Resort and Spa. \n“Notting Hill” (1999) follows William Thacker (Hugh Grant)\, a modest British travel bookstore owner\, whose quiet life is thrown into romantic turmoil when Anna Scott (Julia Roberts)\, a glamorous and world-famous American actress\, accidentally stumbles into his shop. A chance encounter over spilled orange juice leads to a kiss that blossoms into a full-blown affair. As the average bloke and glamorous movie star draw closer and closer together\, they struggle to reconcile their radically different lifestyles in the name of love. \nBring your lawn chair or blanket and relax in front of a massive outdoor movie screen. Enjoy food and beverage offerings from The Wilde Resort and fun movie concessions. \n \n“Notting Hill” will be shown outdoors at The Wilde Resort and Spa (2250 W. State Route 89A in West Sedona) on Wednesday\, July 1 at dusk. DESCRIPTION:It’s “Big Screen at Basecamp” as the Sedona International Film Festival partners with Sedona Beer Company for its “Movies on the Move” cinema under the stars outdoor film experience at Basecamp in West Sedona — every Thursday in the summer season! \nJoin us on Thursday\, July 2 as we present “Stand By Me” at Basecamp/Sedona Beer Company at dusk. \n“Stand by Me” is a classic coming-of-age film directed by Rob Reiner and adapted from Stephen King’s novella\, The Body. In 1959 Oregon\, four twelve-year-old boys — Gordie\, Chris\, Teddy\, and Vern — embark on a two-day trek into the woods to find the dead body of a missing local boy\, hoping to become local heroes. On the way\, they learn more about one another and their very different home lives. Just a lark at first\, the boys’ adventure evolves into a defining event in their lives. \n“Stand By Me” stars Wil Wheaton\, Jerry O’Connell\, River Phoenix\, and Corey Feldman. The film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Screenplay. \nBasecamp will offer a selection of craft beers\, food and beverages (and a special menu item themed to each film)\, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Sedona International Film Festival. \n \n“Stand By Me” will be shown outdoors at Basecamp Sedona Beer Company (70 Dry Creek Road) on Thursday\, July 2 at dusk. Seating will begin at 7 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs.
