with ‘You Got Gold: A Celebration of John Prine’ on Wednesday, Feb. 11

The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to partner with Theatrikos Theatre Company to bring movies to Downtown Flagstaff!

This series continues on Wednesday, Feb. 11 with the Flagstaff ENCORE of “You Got Gold: A Celebration of John Prine” at 7:00 p.m. at Theatrikos Theatre Company.

The film is back by popular demand after a SOLD-OUT premiere in January!

Come early for a pre-show performance by Bill Vernieu!
Bill will be playing some of the great Prine songs you won’t hear included in the film.
Bill Vernieu has been part of the acoustic music scene in Flagstaff for over 35 years, serving as president of Flagstaff Friends of Traditional Music, organizing member of Pickin’ in the Pines, and part of the Mars Hillbillies string band for over a decade. He’s been a student of John Prine’s music since his late teens and is said to know more of his songs than just about anybody.

“You Got Gold: A Celebration of John Prine” captures a star-studded tribute to the legendary songwriter, filmed in October 2022 at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. The event brought together acclaimed artists, friends, and family to share behind-the-scenes stories and perform classic songs, honoring Prine’s enduring legacy.

Prine, widely celebrated as one of history’s greatest songwriters, captivated millions of fans and earned the admiration of icons such as Bonnie Raitt, Brandi Carlile, Tyler Childers, Lucinda Williams, Dwight Yoakam, Jason Isbell, and Bob Weir, amongst many others, are featured in the film performing on the Ryman stage for this special celebration of his life and music.

Join us in celebrating the life and legacy of one of America’s greatest songwriters.

“You Got Gold: A Celebration of John Prine” will show at Theatrikos Theatre Company on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $12 general admission and $9 for Film Festival members.
