Outdoor Film: Overboard

It’s “Big Screen at Basecamp” as the Sedona International Film Festival partners with Sedona Beer Company for its “Movies on the Move” cinema under the stars outdoor film experience at Basecamp in West Sedona — every Thursday in the summer season!

Join us on Thursday, Aug. 20 as we present “Overboard” at Basecamp/Sedona Beer Company at dusk.

Oscar-winner Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell team up for this warm and funny, hilarious and touching comedy. While her yacht is stuck for repairs in a small Oregon town, spoiled socialite Joanna Stayton (Hawn) hires local carpenter Dean Proffitt (Russell) to remodel her closet … but then refuses to pay him. So, when she accidentally falls overboard and loses her memory, Dean takes his one chance for revenge. Claiming she’s “Annie” — his old ball and chain — the hunky widower makes her work off her debt by taking care of his house and four unruly children in this laugh-out-loud rags-to-riches romance!

Basecamp will offer a selection of craft beers, food and beverages (and a special menu item themed to each film), with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Sedona International Film Festival.

“Overboard” will be shown outdoors at Basecamp Sedona Beer Company (70 Dry Creek Road) on Thursday, Aug. 20 at dusk. Seating will begin at 7 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs. Parking is free and available at Basecamp and the Sedona Public Library.

Tickets are only $10 each, and kids 12 and under are free of charge.
