The "In the Living Room Music Series" continues its celebrated season at the Sedona International Film Festival’s Mary D. Fisher Theatre.
On Monday, March 9 at 7:00 p.m., series creator Shondra Jepperson hosts an evening with the legendary Christy Fisher — a woman whose life has been a tapestry of rock-and-roll history, high fashion, and raw musical talent.
This interactive session moves beyond a standard performance to explore Christy’s “unplugged and unscripted” story. From her early days as the “Seamstress for the Band” for icons like Frank Zappa and Jimi Hendrix to her time as a 1970s recording artist who famously chose her artistic integrity over a “Merv Griffin makeover,” Christy’s journey is as colorful as her renowned clothing designs.
“Christy Fisher is the ultimate creative spirit,” says award-winning songwriter-moderator Shondra Jepperson. “She has lived a dozen lives in the music and fashion worlds, and her songwriting reflects that incredible depth. This evening is a rare opportunity to hear the stories behind the woman who was a ‘hippie kid’ at the 1968 Miami Pop Festival and went on to conquer both the stage and the boutique galleries of North America.”
