Outdoor Film: Rocketman

The Sedona International Film Festival is thrilled to announce that its popular Movies on the Move Outdoor Film Experience is coming to the beautiful Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village.

Movie lovers are invited to enjoy award-winning films under the stars in the unique ambience and grandeur of Tlaquepaque’s picturesque courtyards. Experience a memorable outdoor cinema experience in one of Sedona’s most iconic settings.

Join us on Tuesday, Sept. 29 as we present “Rocketman” outdoors in the calle at Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village.

“Rocketman” won both the Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song. The film was also nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Picture and won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for Taron Egerton.

“Rocketman” is an epic musical fantasy about the incredible human story of Elton John’s breakthrough years. Young Reginald Dwight changes his name to Elton John and collaborates with singer-songwriter Bernie Taupin to become one of the most iconic figures in pop history. Set to his most beloved songs, it’s the epic musical story of Elton John, his breakthrough years in the 1970s and his fantastical transformation from shy piano prodigy to international superstar.

Guests are encouraged to bring their friends and family (and lawn chairs or blankets) and experience the magic of cinema beneath Sedona’s summer skies in the iconic setting of Tlaquepaque.

“Rocketman” will be shown outdoors at Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village (336 State Route 179) on Tuesday, Sept. 29 at dusk. Seating will begin at 7 p.m. Parking is free and available at Tlaquepaque.

Tickets are only $10 each, and kids 12 and under are free of charge.
