Outdoor Film: Caddyshack
Outdoor films are coming to the Village! The Sedona International Film Festival is partnering with Village of Oak Creek Association to present its “Movies on the Move” outdoor film experience on Mondays throughout the summer.
Join us on Monday, June 1 when we kick off the season with “Caddyshack” outdoors at the Village of Oak Creek Association Park, next to the clubhouse.
The outrageous 1980 comedy classic “Caddyshack” features an all-star ensemble cast, including Chevy Chase, Rodney Dangerfield, Ted Knight, Michael O’Keefe and Bill Murray.
Danny Noonan (Michael O’Keefe), a teen down on his luck, works as a caddy at the snob-infested Bushwood Country Club to raise money for his college education. In an attempt to gain votes for a college scholarship reserved for caddies, Noonan volunteers to caddy for a prominent and influential club member (Ted Knight). Meanwhile, Danny struggles to prepare for the high pressure Caddy Day golf tournament while absorbing New Age advice from wealthy golf guru Ty Webb (Chevy Chase). On the outside of this is Carl Spackler (Bill Murray), the club’s groundskeeper, who is determined to eliminate a rampaging gopher who is chewing up holes throughout the golf course.
Bring your lawn chair or blanket and relax in front of a massive outdoor movie screen. Enjoy food and beverage offerings from the festival’s “Movies on the Move” mobile concession stand.
“Caddyshack” will be shown outdoors at the VOC Association Park (690 Bell Rock Boulevard in the Village of Oak Creek) on Monday, June 1 at dusk. Seating will begin at 7:00 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs. Parking is free and available onsite.
Tickets are only $10 each, and kids 12 and under are free of charge.
