Outdoor Film: The Big Lebowski

Outdoor films are coming to the Village! The Sedona International Film Festival is partnering with Village of Oak Creek Association to present its “Movies on the Move” outdoor film experience on Mondays throughout the summer.

Join us on Monday, June 15 when we present “The Big Lebowski” outdoors at the Village of Oak Creek Association Park, next to the clubhouse.

“The Big Lebowski” (1998) is a neo-noir crime comedy featuring an all-star ensemble cast, including Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, Julianne Moore and Steve Buscemi.

Jeff Bridges plays Jeff Lebowski who insists on being called “the Dude,” a laid-back, easygoing burnout who happens to have the same name as a millionaire whose wife (Julianne Moore) owes a lot of dangerous people a bunch of money — resulting in the Dude having his rug soiled, sending him spiraling into the Los Angeles underworld.

Bring your lawn chair or blanket and relax in front of a massive outdoor movie screen. Enjoy food and beverage offerings from the festival’s “Movies on the Move” mobile concession stand.

“The Big Lebowski” will be shown outdoors at the VOC Association Park (690 Bell Rock Boulevard in the Village of Oak Creek) on Monday, June 15 at dusk. Seating will begin at 7:00 p.m. Parking is free and available onsite.

Tickets are only $10 each, and kids 12 and under are free of charge.

For advance tickets and more information, please call 928-282-1177. Visit the film festival office at 2030 W. Hwy. 89A, in West Sedona to get tickets in person.
