Outdoor Film: Notting Hill
The Sedona International Film Festival is partnering with The Wilde Resort in West Sedona to present its “Movies on the Move” outdoor film experience — “Wilde Wednesdays” Cinema Under the Stars — every Wednesday in the summer season!
This is the summer of romantic comedies at The Wilde! Join us on Wednesday, July 1 as we present “Notting Hill” in The Grove Fire Pit Garden at The Wilde Resort and Spa.
“Notting Hill” (1999) follows William Thacker (Hugh Grant), a modest British travel bookstore owner, whose quiet life is thrown into romantic turmoil when Anna Scott (Julia Roberts), a glamorous and world-famous American actress, accidentally stumbles into his shop. A chance encounter over spilled orange juice leads to a kiss that blossoms into a full-blown affair. As the average bloke and glamorous movie star draw closer and closer together, they struggle to reconcile their radically different lifestyles in the name of love.
Bring your lawn chair or blanket and relax in front of a massive outdoor movie screen. Enjoy food and beverage offerings from The Wilde Resort and fun movie concessions.
“Notting Hill” will be shown outdoors at The Wilde Resort and Spa (2250 W. State Route 89A in West Sedona) on Wednesday, July 1 at dusk. Seating will begin at 7 p.m. Parking is free and available at The Wilde Resort and Spa.
Tickets are only $10 each, and kids 12 and under are free of charge.
