Outdoor Film: When Harry Met Sally

The Sedona International Film Festival is partnering with The Wilde Resort in West Sedona to present its “Movies on the Move” outdoor film experience — “Wilde Wednesdays” Cinema Under the Stars — every Wednesday in the summer season!

This is the summer of romantic comedies at The Wilde! Join us on Wednesday, Aug. 12 as we present “When Harry Met Sally” in The Grove Fire Pit Garden at The Wilde Resort and Spa.

“When Harry Met Sally” — directed by Rob Reiner — was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Screenplay (for Nora Ephron).

In 1977, college graduates Harry Burns (Billy Crystal) and Sally Albright (Meg Ryan) share a contentious car ride from Chicago to New York, during which they argue about whether men and women can ever truly be strictly platonic friends. Ten years later, Harry and Sally meet again at a bookstore, and in the company of their respective best friends, Jess (Bruno Kirby) and Marie (Carrie Fisher), attempt to stay friends without sex becoming an issue between them.

Bring your lawn chair or blanket and relax in front of a massive outdoor movie screen. Enjoy food and beverage offerings from The Wilde Resort and fun movie concessions.

“When Harry Met Sally” will be shown outdoors at The Wilde Resort and Spa (2250 W. State Route 89A in West Sedona) on Wednesday, Aug. 12 at dusk. Seating will begin at 7 p.m. Parking is free and available at The Wilde Resort and Spa.

Tickets are only $10 each, and kids 12 and under are free of charge.

For advance tickets and more information, please call 928-282-1177. Visit the film festival office at 2030 W. Hwy. 89A, in West Sedona to get tickets in person.
